Placed in a chic southwestern restaurant, this installation of seven swimming papier mâché salmon is a fun, whimsical way to promote the restaurant's seafood
dishes while brightening the space for the enjoyment of diners.
The salmon are built onto a structural steel frame, hand-wrapped with solid paper and finished with luminous scales of pearlized paint.
Each fish has its own unique personality and seems to move through the space with elegance and a bit of whimsy.
The 15-foot wall is painted with a rich salmon flat paint, then the individual fish are attached by sliding their easy-to-hang steel
brackets over anchored screws. The fish have average dimensions of 28" long x 12" high and extend out from the wall approximately 14".
